Cummins Conversion

1995 Ford F-350 XLT 4x4 E4OD Crew Cab Single Rear Wheel/Long Bed
(more truck pics at the bottom of the page!)

Good Bye Power Stroke!!!

The Engine
1995 5.9L 12-Valve Cummins w/ P-7100

Prior to installation, a KDP kit, fuel strainer kit, new oil pan gasket and valve cover gaskets were installed.

The Conversion

Adapter and flex plates are direct bolt-ons, no modification required.

New 6.0L Power Stroke starter. Part of the engine lip had to be cut away but the bolt hole for the adapter plate is still intact. The bolts to mount the starter came with the adapter plate from Destroked.

Destroked on 20 March 2008.

Motor mounts from Destroked/Auto World MT.

PA Performance 200 AMP alternator mounts like a stock Dodge alternator and has only one wire to hook up.

Two Be Cool 16" pusher fans (75035) were used to provide cooling. The engine was not moved back so the stock Ford radiator fan could not be used. The a/c condenser was moved forward (toward the grill) 1/2-inch to allow for the very thin Be Cool fans (just a hair over 2" thick) to fit between the radiator and condenser.

New 2006 6.0L Power Stroke intercooler. Last picture is a portion of the tubing connecting to the turbo.

The throttle cable and pedal were taken from a 1987-1991 F-Series IDI Diesel pickup (don't know the exact year as it was a from a junk yard truck). It was a perfect fit.

Custom hose order from Hose Techniques.com for intercooler to air intake horn.

AEM HD Diesel Air Intake (tube slightly modified to fit).
